I was was hungry ...
"Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink ~ Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." Words of our Lord Jesus Christ, excerpted from Matthew 25:31-46.

Out Of the Abundance We Have Received

We thank Thee, O Christ our God, that Thou hast satisfied us with Thine earthly gifts; deprive us not of Thy heavenly Kingdom, but as Thou camest among Thy disciples, O Savior, and gavest them peace, come to us and save us. (From the prayer after the mid-day meal).

If you should have an abundance of food from a large family meal, special event or perhaps your restaurant or store or clothing as well that can be shared with those less fortunate please contact Deacon Mike (989.627.9580).

Many parishioners and organizations donate food from Mercy Meals, Coffee Fellowship, Banquets and other occasions to help feed the hungry. God blesses us all when the "least of these" are served from our over abundance.

The primary recipient of your generosity has been the Salvation Army of Owosso where:

  1. The needy are served lunch from 11 - 12 Monday through Friday
  2. An average of 35 people are fed every day with the ability to take food home when there is an abundance

The Salvation Army of Owosso is also the primary distribution point for Toys for Tots of Shiawasee County.

Many, many thanks to all who have been so generous!
